👋 Hi, I’m Emma — Co-Founder at Hera

I’m one half of the founding team at Hera, where we help high-growth tech businesses build exceptional Product and Engineering teams — from first hires to scaling world-class departments.

With nearly a decade of recruitment experience, I’ve worked closely with Founders, Leaders and Talent teams across FinTech, HealthTech and SaaS to shape hiring strategies, uncover hidden talent, and build diverse, high-performing teams. I’m especially passionate about working with early-stage businesses to deeply understand their mission, challenges, and culture — and to find the people who will bring it all to life.

💡 What sets me apart? I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all hiring. I take a tailored, partnership-first approach to recruitment — one that’s built on trust, honesty, and real understanding. What matters to you, matters to me.

As a woman and a working parent in a male-dominated industry, I have lived experience of the barriers people face when true Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are lacking. I’ve seen how inclusive hiring isn’t just a box to tick — it’s the foundation of long-term success.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of two. One of my biggest motivators is showing my children that having ambition, drive and a fulfilling career doesn’t have to come at the expense of being present and grounded as a parent. It’s possible to do both — and do both well.

I’m proud to be one of the Co-Founders of Hera, a female-led recruitment consultancy built on over 18 years of experience in the industry. From day one, we’ve been on a mission to redefine what effective hiring looks like; prioritising meaningful relationships, outstanding candidate experiences and long-term outcomes over volume and speed for the sake of it.

At Hera, we work in close partnership with Founders and C-suite leaders at fast-growth tech companies to build diverse, high-performing teams. Our expertise lies in delivering strategic recruitment solutions across all levels, with a particular focus on senior hires and executive search. Whether it’s a VP of Engineering or a Head of People, we understand how pivotal leadership talent is to the success of a business and we know how to find, engage and secure the right people.

Having spent the majority of my career partnering with startups and scale-ups, I thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments. I bring energy, clarity, and strategic input to every search, embedding myself into teams as a trusted talent advisor, not just a supplier.
